Ingredients

  • 8 oz boneless pork chops, sliced into thin strips

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (15g)

  • 1 tbsp honey (21g)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Pinch of red chili flakes (optional)

  • 1 tsp olive oil (5g)

  • 1 cup cooked rice (about 60g dry)

  • 2 cups steamed broccoli or other veggies
(e.g., green beans, snap peas, cauliflower, carrots)

Instructions

1. Make the Marinade
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, and red chili flakes.

2. Prep the Pork
Slice pork chops into thin strips. Add to the marinade and let sit for at least 15 minutes.

3. Cook the Pork
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add marinated pork (discard excess marinade if needed) and cook for 3-5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until fully cooked and lightly caramelized.

4. Cook the Rice
Prepare rice on the stovetop or in a rice cooker. Keep warm.

5. Steam the Veggies
Steam broccoli (or other vegetables of choice) over boiling water for 5-7 minutes, or microwave with a splash of water in a covered bowl for 2-3 minutes.

6. Assemble
Divide rice into bowls. Top with pork and veggies. Spoon any pan sauce over the top if desired.

Recipe Tips

  • Thinner = faster: Thin pork slices cook more quickly and soak up more flavor.

  • Meal prep tip: Pork, rice, and veggies can all be cooked ahead and reheated easily.
